Early rom-com has wealthy jock Doug romancing Eileen, a spoiled heiress, until she throws him over for Charles, a dull dandy. An unhealthy lifestyle of smoking and drinking lands her in a sanitarium with a bunch of other hypochondriacs. Doug rescues them by duping the lot of them (2 other ladies and five guys), plus Charles and the pharmacist, who is in cahoots with Doug. They land on a 'desert island' where a regimen of healthy living improves their lazy lives. Some good laughs, but it's hard to believe any man would find the plump and rather plain young ingenue worthy of going to such an effort -- she's no scrumptious babe like Kate Winslet, whose character was the same age in 'Titanic'.

Percy was only 17 when she made this; she later wed songwriter Harry Ruby, who scored several Marx Brothers films, and they stayed together until her death, in 1973. Both she and the handsome Gerrard were born in Ireland; his film career lasted to 1934, sadly in bit parts.
